Accessibility statement

SMPL wants everyone who starts or runs a business to be able to use this website, including people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, a screen reader, a magnifier, voice control, or who have low vision, colour blindness, or a condition that makes motion hard to watch. This page explains what we aim for, what we have done, what is still being worked on, and how to tell us about a problem.

Our commitment

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, across smplbiz.com. We are not claiming full conformance yet. In October 2026 we reviewed every page on the site, fixed the problems we found, and wrote down what is left (see "Known limits" below).

What this means in practice:

  • Keyboard. Every link, button, form field and menu can be used without a mouse. A "Skip to main content" link is the first stop on each page, the focus ring is always visible, and menus and dialogs close with the Escape key.
  • Screen readers. Pages have one main heading and a logical heading order, landmarks for the header, main content and footer, labelled form fields, and messages (such as a form error or "Guide unlocked") that are announced as they appear.
  • Colour and contrast. Text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background, and we do not use colour alone to show meaning (links inside sentences are underlined), which helps people who are colour blind.
  • Zoom and small screens. Pages work at 200 percent zoom and on a phone screen as narrow as 320 pixels without sideways scrolling. Text is never smaller than 13 pixels.
  • Motion. Anything that moves on its own (such as a rotating slideshow) has a pause button, stops while you hover over it or use the keyboard in it, and does not start for visitors whose device is set to reduce motion. Endlessly looping animated pictures have been replaced with still ones.
  • Links. A link that opens a new tab says so in its name.

How we check

We test every page with the axe-core accessibility engine at desktop, phone and 320 pixel widths, walk through forms, menus and dialogs using only the keyboard, and check by hand the areas that automatic tools cannot measure, such as text over gradients and pictures. We repeat this each time a page changes.

We have not yet had the site tested by people who use screen readers and other assistive technology every day. That is our next step, and we will update this page when it is done.

Known limits

  • Booking calendar. The "Book a call" calendar is provided by Calendly and shown inside our pages. We have given it a title and kept it reachable by keyboard, but we do not control its inside. If you cannot use it, call (888) 767-5249 or email us and we will book the call for you.
  • Live chat. The chat bubble in the corner of some pages comes from Bitrix24 and cannot be opened with a keyboard. Where a page has a "Start Live Chat" button, that is the accessible way in. You can always call or email.
  • Videos. Customer videos are hosted on YouTube. Captions depend on YouTube and may not exist for every video. Ask us for a written version of anything you cannot watch.
  • Charts. A few small illustrations (for example the line chart comparing flat-fee and interchange-plus pricing) have small labels on phones. The same information is in the text description of the picture and in the paragraphs beside it.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this site is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us. We would rather hear about it and fix it than have you go without.

It helps if you tell us the address of the page, what you were trying to do, what went wrong, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. You do not have to give all of that. We aim to reply within 5 business days.

If you need any information from this site in another form, such as plain text, a phone call, or an email, ask and we will provide it.

Technical details

The site is built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and uses WAI-ARIA where plain HTML is not enough. It is designed for current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on computers, phones and tablets.
